If you’re searching for an unforgettable experience along the Florida Panhandle, the Destin Seafood Festival is a must-visit event that captures the spirit and culture of the area.
As one of Destin’s most celebrated traditions, the festival not only marks the beginning of the Destin Fishing Rodeo but also brings together locals and visitors for a weekend of fresh seafood, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
While you’re planning your visit, don’t forget to explore various things to do in Fort Walton Beach and consider staying in one of Brooks & Shorey’s Fort Walton Beach rentals or Okaloosa Island rentals for a comfortable and scenic stay.
About the Festival
Celebrated since 1978, the festival was originally started by the Destin Charter Boat Association Women’s Auxiliary. Now held at the stunning Destin Harbor Boardwalk, the festival remains the primary fundraiser for the Destin Charter Boat Association. Established in 1954, the Destin Charter Boat Association is a nonprofit organization that advocates for fisheries management, supports various community development projects, and awards a scholarship to the winner of the Miss Destin Pageant. This cherished festival has evolved and grown over the years, but its core mission remains the same: to celebrate the rich maritime history and culinary delights of Destin.
